Registered Psychotherapist at The Borough Health & Wellness

Kelly Holt is a Registered Psychotherapist with a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology who works with individuals navigating change, uncertainty, emotional challenges, and the many complicated seasons of life.
Her approach is grounded in both clinical training and personal experience, allowing her to meet clients with empathy, insight, and genuine understanding. Kelly believes therapy should be a space where you can be honest about what you’re experiencing without judgment—and where you can begin to understand yourself with greater clarity and compassion.
Whether you’re navigating trauma, questioning your relationship with alcohol or substances, moving through a major life transition, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, Kelly offers a supportive and collaborative space to help you move forward.
Kelly understands that there is no universal approach to mental health. In the initial sessions, she takes the time to understand your story, your experiences, and the challenges bringing you to therapy.
Together, you’ll identify what you want to work through and develop an approach that feels appropriate for where you are right now. Her goal is not to tell you who you should be or how you should feel—it’s to help you better understand yourself, develop practical tools, and reconnect with what matters to you.
Kelly offers both in-person and virtual individual psychotherapy sessions.

Kelly takes a holistic approach to psychotherapy, drawing from evidence-based therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
These approaches can help clients better understand thought and behaviour patterns, develop emotional regulation and coping skills, and explore the different parts of themselves that may be influencing how they feel and respond.
Most importantly, Kelly’s approach is collaborative. She works with you—not at you—to create a therapeutic process that feels safe, relevant, and meaningful.

Anxiety & Self-Esteem
Support for anxiety, overwhelm, self-doubt, and challenges with self-worth. Therapy can help you understand patterns of thinking and behaviour while developing healthier ways to respond to difficult emotions.

Perimenopause, Body Image & Identity
Perimenopause can bring profound physical and emotional changes, sometimes leaving women feeling disconnected from themselves. Kelly provides a space to explore shifts in identity, body image, confidence, relationships, and sense of self during this transition.

Substance Use & Sobriety
A non-judgmental space to explore your relationship with alcohol or other substances, whether you are questioning your current habits, considering sobriety, or navigating recovery.

Supporting a Loved One Through Addiction
Addiction affects more than the person experiencing it. Kelly supports family members and loved ones who are coping with the emotional complexity, uncertainty, and challenges of someone else’s substance use or recovery journey.

Relationship & Career Transitions
Breakups, divorce, career changes, and other major transitions can challenge your sense of identity and direction. Therapy can provide space to process what has happened, gain perspective, and reconnect with who you are and what you want next.

Trauma & Life Challenges
A supportive environment to process difficult experiences, understand how they may continue to affect you, and develop healthier ways of coping. Kelly works collaboratively and at a pace that respects your individual experiences.
